Important notice

28th - 29th September 2008
Agitated moods and emotions with high nervous restlessness that comes just ahead of the New Moon. Highly unsettled emotions are possible.

29th - 30th September 2008
The day of the New Moon is likely to bring yet further unsettled moods and feelings with the likelihood of contentious encounters, anxiety and heightened awareness that may be filled with apprehensive emotions. On the other hand there may be energetic and zestful mood impulses with plenty of creative enterprise.

30th September - 1st October 2008
The Moon and Mercury align to create a yet further heightened sense of awareness with intuitive inclinations and high creative ability. However the strident mood atmosphere will not be to everyone’s liking.

1st - 2nd October 20
Aggressive and more belligerent feelings will be well to the fore as the Moon aligns with Mars. Watch out for arguments and contentious encounters. Under these circumstances passions will be easily aroused.

Still continuing tense but with more sympathetic, understanding and affectionate feelings that arise from the alignment of the Moon and Venus.

Reduced tensions but still with enough nervous restlessness to cause problems. The influence of Saturn and Uranus may create additional tensions with the possibility of strong but contained moods and feelings.

Similar to the previous day but with lowered sense of enthusiasm. Moods may be slightly flattened with low inspiration and depressive inclinations together with reduced self confidence.

The Sun aligns with Mercury to give some zest to what is otherwise the so called ‘ doldrum period’ of flattened moods that occurs midway between the Full Moon, or New Moon, or vice versa. Lowered confidence and self esteem may also be another factor to watch out for.

Similar to the previous day with the zest and enthusiasm of the Sun/Mercury alignment providing balance to the more flattened moods of the ‘doldrum period.’

7th - 8th October 2008
Some measure of enjoyment and breadth of emotion will come from the alignment between the Moon and Jupiter. This will provide more affable and friendly feelings but also the risk of reckless exaggeration and extravagance with risk taking that could lead to mishaps and accidents. Either way there may be a greater zest and enthusiasm than on previous days.

A time of sensitive and vulnerable feelings as we approach the alignment of the Moon and Neptune. The added zest of the continuing Sun/Mercury alignment will give enthusiasm and vigour but also a degree of apprehension to the overall atmosphere.

Acute emotional sensitivity with refined, delicate, and impressionable mood impulses characterise this mood period in a way that some may find unsettling. However there will be plenty of nervous energy for zestful activity and enterprising ideas.

We are now just a day or two away from the New Moon and moods and emotions will inevitably be tense and anxious with increased sensitivity and awareness. This will contribute to an overall feeling of apprehension, doubt, and insecurity so that problems will appear magnified and existing sources of contention will seem even more exaggerated than they already are.
Under these circumstances tempers may easily be aroused with a contentious atmosphere that will be made all the more acute by the influence of numerous potent alignments. Today for example sees the alignment of the Moon and Saturn, both of which are in alignment to Uranus. This will create sharply polarised circumstances with the restraint, discipline, and conformity of Saturn starkly contrasted by the more agitated, perverse and divisive nature of Uranus. In addition feelings are likely to deviate powerfully from the norm with out of character moods and emotions that will see a strong attraction towards escapism in its limitless guises.
On the more positive side this atmosphere offers a substantial degree of zest and enthusiasm for on going schemes and ventures together with a highly innovative, imaginative, and original degree of thinking that may seem as if it has come from the mind of another person. There may also be tendencies towards unusual, eccentric, or even perverse modes of behaviour, with the potential for extreme solutions to even the most trivial of situations. This continues to be a very heightened mood situation which comes just several days ahead of the New Moon.
As a result moods will be filled with tense nervous restlessness as well as an increased sense of anxiety and tension. In addition there will be a propensity towards argumentative moods and feelings together with the possibility of volatile exchanges. On occasions these emotions may be of an extreme nature and where arguments develop there may be little restraint in what is said or done.
On this occasion the run up to the New Moon is made all the more intense by the fact that the Moon is soon to come into opposition with Uranus. Frequent visitors to this site will know that Moon/Uranus alignments are out of the top category of unsettled mood influences and can contribute to extreme situations that will bring some to the very edge of what they feel they can stand. At the same time the Moon is also in alignment with Saturn and although this will create a measure of restraint and discipline it will also tend towards a more premeditated and calculating form of expression that could render the overall mood situation even more fraught with tension. On of the principal features of this current alert pattern is the opposition between the Moon and Neptune. The two will stay conjunct until around 17:00 GMT (13:00 EDT) on the 26th of September and the likely mood traits to result from this include extreme emotional sensitivity with unstable or disturbed emotions that will be prone to neurotic and escapist tendencies. In addition there may be confused or chaotic impulses with over impressionable feelings that may be subject to strong moods and feelings.
One aspect of the above mentioned alignment is a propensity towards subtle and refined impulses with creative and intuitive feelings and a sense of awareness that for some will verge on the psychic.
Another aspect of this present alert is the proximity of the next New Moon in around three or four days time. This is likely to result in tense and anxious emotions with intense nervous restlessness that for some may come close to crisis point. Under these circumstances there may be definite tensions and anxiety with an increased fears and preoccupation so that all problems will be magnified and assume undue proportions. Similarly there is likely to be an increase in aggressive or belligerent moods with notable outbursts of anger and resentment that may see little restraint in what is said or done. We are now in the immediate run up to the next New Moon in around five or six days. This means a gradual increase in tension and anxiety including nervous restlessness, which due to on going planetary alignments are already notably heightened.
In particular we are now seeing a strong influence from the alignment between Mercury and Mars. For over a week now this has created highly energetic and passionate moods with strong feelings and widely polarised attitudes. These can suddenly alternate between well intentioned moods and feelings to hostile, vindictive and outright violent mood impulses of a very striking nature.
An example of this are the recent college killings in Finland where a lone gunman embarked on a frenzied shooting spree that left at least 11 dead, including the 22 year old gunman who later shot himself. This illustrates the heightened tensions of the period and although we have only just come through the period we often refer to as the ‘emotional doldrums’ this present time is also heavily influenced by the on going opposition between Uranus and Saturn.
